The latest Aquanova Gemini assistive bath with integrated platform from Abacus Healthcare.

Abacus Healthcare works closely with therapists and families to create stylish and ergonomic accessible bathing solutions. Its popular range of Aquanova baths ensure the wellbeing, dignity and comfort of children and young adults with disabilities is fully maximised when bathing. Abacus provides a complete support package for families requiring an accessible bathroom – from the initial, clinically led assessment through to design, fitting and after-sales care. Designed with the latest technology, its popular Aquanova Gemini, Pisces and Aries baths now offer even greater levels of comfort and reliability. Each model is considerably smoother in operation and far quieter resulting in a more enjoyable bathing experience for young users, their parents and carers.

Stand D316 at Kidz South will include an example from the new Aquanova range – the latest Gemini assistive bath that includes an integrated, height adjustable platform. This bath provides a popular 3-in-1 solution for bathing, drying and changing of young users and a safer way for carers or parents to assist without bending or lifting.

When young users are ready to bathe, they sit on the platform and the Gemini is then raised, gently immersing them into temperature controlled water. The bath and the bather can then be raised to a comfortable height for the carer. It has a compact footprint ideal for domestic bathrooms where space can be limited and the Gemini is suitable for use with ceiling track hoists. To ensure individualised comfort and safety for bathers, this adaptable bath is compatible with a wide range of accessories available from Abacus. These can include Knee Breaks, Back Rest Cushions and Net Postural Supports.

Product specialists from Abacus Healthcare will be available on stand D136 to discuss specialist bathing needs throughout the event. In addition to practically demonstrating the benefits of the new Gemini, they will be able to offer guidance on best practice for bathing of young individuals living with disability.
