Gainsborough Specialist Bathing: transfering a bather into a Kent 2 assistive bath

This video demonstrates how to transfer a semi-ambulant bather into a Kent Series 2 hi-lo bath from Gainsborough Specialist Bathing.

This bath is installed at The Marbrook Centre, St Neots, Cambridgeshire which is a specialist neurological rehabilitation and long term care facility.

A new range of assistive baths from Gainsborough Specialist Bathing was launched at the end of 2015.

The equivalent hi-lo bath in the new range is the Gentona. Designed specifically for high-traffic wet environments, the Gentona is fully height adjustable and comes with powered transfer seat to deliver exceptional levels of care. With its energy-efficient keyhole shape and a variety of water-saving features, this versatile bathing system is designed to deliver high levels of performance yet it is still extremely economical to run.

Being height adjustable, the Gentona ensures a safe, comfortable working height for care staff, and its easy-to-clean surfaces help to reduce the risk of cross-infection. The powered transfer seat lowers to a convenient height for a wheelchair or hoist access and gently moves the bather in and out of the bath.
