TGA Mobility, the leading UK specialist in mobility scooters, has introduced its latest safety campaign to help customers remain visible and safer during the winter months – the ‘#BeBrightScootSafe’initiative.
TGA is a caring and ethical supplier of quality mobility scooters and is always focused on delivering independence with maximum safety and peace of mind. Its range of reliable products are proven to provide assured performance and also offer many safety features so that scooter owners have confidence and control when driving. The Breeze S4 and Vita range are renowned for advanced LED head and brake lights which provide exceptional brightness. These ensure owners are clearly visible to pedestrians and other highway users after dark so that local friends, amenities and social clubs can be visited without undue worry. To enhance this safety even further TGA is offering a comprehensive range of high-visibility accessories along with free information and a competition.
TGA’s social media channels and website will provide a hub for information regarding how to drive safely this winter on a mobility scooter. TGA is encouraging its followers on Facebook and Twitter to share positive advice and experiences whilst including the statement: ‘#BeBrightScootSafe’ in all posts so everyone in the community can learn and engage. There is also a Facebook competition available running until the end of January whereby scooter owners can win a selection of high-visibility stickers, leg and wrist bands and gilets. To enter, all TGA followers have to do is:
- Watch the video entitled: ‘The popular TGA safe mobility scooter driving awareness day – Sept 2016’
- Find the answer to the following question: When driving a mobility scooter, what is the maximum speed allowed on the pavement – 4, 6 or 8mph?
- Submit the answer on the TGA website competition page.
5 lucky winners of high-visibility goodie bags will be selected at random each month, closing date 31 January 2017.
In addition to the giveaways, the recently relaunched and easy-to-use TGA website will host several pages of vital information ranging from Highway Code guidance to basic scooter maintenance tips. There will also be an updated leaflet available that details many aspects of safe scooter ownership along with ongoing awareness activities in the Suffolk (TGA, Sudbury)and Surrey (Hexagon Healthcare, Farnham) regional independent living showrooms.
